One of the major issues in mounting this exhibition is the high cost of art supplies, particularly for First Nations communities and artists. We are asking Indigenous artists to produce artwork of a very political nature rather than their usual artwork that is mostly intended to be sold into the retail market. To help with this unexpected expense, the Truth and Reconciliation Project has made some funding available to all ten of the Algonquins of Ontario communities.

How is the funding accessed? Will there be an application for it?
Who is making the decisions about the amount and who is eligible?
Hi Linda. Each Algonquin community has their own process. Contact your own community office and ask about the funding.
